Dakota Community Bank & Trust Scholarship
As a community bank that prides itself on supporting and investing in our local communities, we recognize the financial responsibility it takes for a student to continue their education in a post-secondary school. Based on our dedication to the communities we serve, we are proud to announce a new scholarship opportunity – the Dakota Community Bank & Trust scholarship.
With Dakota Community Bank & Trust’s 80th Anniversary milestone in 2020, we have decided to kick off the Dakota Community Bank & Trust Scholarship Program! This program is set to award 11 students annually with a post-secondary scholarship.
The scholarship is available to North Dakota high school seniors who demonstrate community and/or school involvement and plan to enroll full-time for the fall (12 credits or more). Consideration for this scholarship is based on a point system including participation in extra-curricular activities, school organizations and your local community as well as a brief essay (listed on application). We encourage all current seniors who plan to continue their education to apply.
The deadline for the 2020 scholarship application: March 1, 2020.
Applications received after March 1, 2020 will not be considered for the current scholarship year.
The scholarship applications will be reviewed by an external judging committee, and will be awarded without discrimination based on sex, race, religion, age, national origin or handicap.
Dakota Community Bank & Trust employees and their immediate family members (children and grandchildren) are not eligible to apply.
Dakota Community Bank & Trust reserves the right to change the requirements of the program at any time without notice and may, at its discretion, offer non-selected applicants the opportunity in the scholarship program based on terms similar to those set forth within. The decision to do so will be based upon the strength of the reviewed applications and be decided solely by Dakota Community Bank & Trust. The availability of this option, to any or all applicants, is not guaranteed by Dakota Community Bank & Trust.
Scholarship recipients are encouraged to consult a tax professional regarding the tax implications of receiving this scholarship award.
